How to Promote Your Music For Free: Sites We Use

There are tons of free resources across the internet that you can use to help promote your music. These are a few we use.

  1. Reddit – This is a great free to use resource to use as an artist as there are subreddits for nearly every genre of music. What I would recommend to you as an artist is to find a subreddit focused on your genre and become an active member of the community. This can include sharing your music if it is allowed in your subreddit. You can also playlists to submit to and other artists to potentially collab with.
  2. Toneden – This is a great resource for music marketing. They do have paid features but Toneden also has free to use smart links for your music which also can be tracked using your Facebook Pixel. We personally use this site for most of our landing pages.
  3. Submithub – This is another resource that does have paid features, but it offers free submissions to blogs and playlists as well. I use the platform nearly every release and would highly recommend it.
  4. Content Platforms – This is the bread and butter of free music promotion tools, content platforms are sites and apps such as Youtube, Instagram, and Tik Tok. You can build an audience on these platforms for free and use it to help promote your music. Not to mention the organic reach from just posting something. Specifically on Tik Tok you can have zero followers, post once, and get a million views. The organic reach is better than any other platform out there, and if you so happen to be sitting on a hit song, one well made, well timed video can reach millions of potential fans for free.

There are endless possibilities when it comes to marketing your craft, don’t be afraid to experiment, and good luck!
